• Panoramic Lima.  This small-group excursion ranging in size from 2 to 20 guests will depart from the cruise ship pier and travel to Lima, where you will see Plaza Mayor, the exact location where Francisco Pizarro founded Lima.  View the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace. The Cathedral, the main church and one of the main symbols of the city, started construction the same year the city was founded, 1535. Its cold and rather gloomy interior bears witness to the building's trials and tribulations. Continue to the historical district of Rimac, where you'll see the beautiful colonial constructions of Paseo de Aguas and Alameda de los Descalzos. Stop at Parque del Amor for a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and its beaches. Now you are on to Barranco, the city's most important romantic and bohemian district and a former fashionable beach resort for the old Liman aristocracy. Here you will discover emblematic buildings such as the Justice Palace, Civical Center, the Art and Italian Museums. Next, check out the upscale residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, known for its shopping, gardens, flower-filled parks, and beaches. • Whale Watching in Cabo San Lucas.  A lifetime of memories awaits you during the annual whale migration, when the whales pursue their instincts and travel to their breeding grounds. Cruise close enough to these magnificent mammals to sense their power and magnitude as they perform aerobatic leaps and plunge into the crystal clear waters. Sense a part of nature's miracle with this marine spectacle. Whale watching season starts in December and lasts until April. This trip will head out in the direction of Lover's Beach as you view the extraordinary rock formations and hear the story of Lover's Beach.
